  Lord of the rings was the best movie i`ve ever seen, the cast was great, and the effects were amazing! I hope this movie makes a fortune! and for all those people that think Harry potter is beter than LOTR then they have no lives whatsoever keep it up!!

  I enjoyed the movie enormously. It is clearly produced by people that love and respect the book. The adaptations they made (e.g., replacing Glorfindel with Arwen, axing Tom Bombadil) are understandable and did not bother me too much. However, it may be better to read the book first or discussing it with someone that knows the whole story before seeing the movie; quite a few people at theatre were lost with the ending. I understand their reaction, but, too bad... that`s the way the movie has to finish and I`m glad the director respected that. The book is not a trilogy, but a story in three volumes.   The Lord of the Rings has got to be the greatest movie i have ever seen! Woods is soooo hot! The story line is excellent and the scnens are amazing!

  Actually lives up to the hype! 3 hours and not a boring minute among them. Docked 1 star for omitting one of my favourite parts of the book - The Barrow Downs.
