  Truly faithful to the author. Tolkein would have been proud to see his masterpiece so well represented on the big screen. Makes you crave the sequels.

  Seen it three times now, yes I liked it. I found it helpful, having read the books innumerable times, to think of the movie as the same story told by a different person. The result is differences in detail but the same overall story. I can hardly wait for the next two. Do you think we can get Peter Jackson to do the story of the Silmarils?

  Wonderful performances by all!! Just wish I didn`t have to wait a year to see the sequal and another year still for the last part of the trilogy. I understand about the marketing aspect, however, I HAD to pick up the books again to read it all over again...starting with The Hobbit, of course. :)

  Everyone whos complaining about this movie you can take a gun and blow your damn heads off. You suck! Your "long winded and boring". The intelligence of the movie is just to high for some i guess!

  It was an excellent movie with amazing special effects, great casting and costume designs, and excellent philmography. The Lord of the Rings, the fellowship of the Ring, was definantly the best movie of the year.

  AMAZING MOVIE!!! it was the greatest movie ever, i`ve seen it 11 times, and i`ll see it many more times before two towers come out!!!
