So realistic. It is a do-over. I have to see this one more time.

This movie is horrible. I am sure that if the real Hugh Glass could see it he would have chosen to die when he encountered the grizzly. A little wimp like Dicaprio can survive waterfalls in a 100kg (over 200 pound) grizzly fur underwater and mangled he can still swim. He can wade in water and get naked inside a horse but when he comes out his clothes are clean and dry..WOW. so unbelievably bad. anyone who has any survival knowledge or knowledge of the Native Americans know they did not wade in water in the winter and then slowly walk though waist deep snow for days on end. SAD

First, for those that disliked this movie, please be aware that it is based on true events and very closely (except for a major plot fabrication) adheres to historical facts. The scenery was beautiful. Cinematography was superb. The grizzly attack and fight scenes were some of the best I've ever seen. I did not like the Hollywood ending. If the end was true to historical facts, the screenwriter and director could have made the ending more dramatic than the typical ending used.

note worth the hype - and certainly DiCaprio is not worthy of the Oscar. His range of acting is limited by the role itself. The story itself is completely unbelievable.

The movie was absolutely stunning. The acting was incredible, the bear scene was cinematically amazing. Leo hands down deserves an award for this movie, I feel like if you put someone else in that role it becomes a three star movie or lower.

Spectacular Scenery, very suspenseful, my brother and hubby loved the action. There was too much gore for me...as women we would simply talk our disagreements out and settle on the fairest compromise. The white actors were all awesome, yet the big brown actress should share the Oscar with Leonardo.
