Movie trailers can sabotage a film with high expectations. This film met and exceeded my very high expectations. Cinematography and scenery were visually inspiring, story was gut wrenching and edge of your seat. Academy needs to pay attention to "Revenant". I was all in.

This could have been a Great movie, but the director took it in a vile direction. Constant F-bombs and other vulgarities, rape scene etc. BLOOD AND GUTS AND GORE. VERY LOOSELY based on the adventure of Hugh Glass. If you are one who enjoys filth and vile language you might like this movie. The best parts of the movie are the ones in the movie trailer. This movie make you feel like you need a bath afterwards to remove the garbage. What ever happened to good , decent movies. All the foul language and the other vile scenes are totally unnecessary . This movie is a waste of time and money.

Line delivery was pathetic. Acting was terrible. Cinematography was good though. This won a Golden Globe Award ? Hollywood is definitely politically corrupt.

At one point I was going to leave, terrible movie. Most of the movie was watching Leonardo crawling in snow of laying beside a small fire. At one point you actually wish the Indians would shoot him. Bdon't waste your time, have no idea how he won n award. If you go don't say I didn't tell you.

Sumptuous photography. Assured direction. Beautiful music. Excellent and committed performances - particularly by DiCaprio. It is a pity the film suffers from such poor scriptwriting - this film deserved much better. However, that said, the film is certainly worth 2 1/2 hours in a theatre just to see Emmanuel Lubezki's stunning visual palette on full display.

This movie does not pass the Bechdel test. Not even close. The story is only loosely based on a true story so why not include a female lead as well?
