Gravity is absolutely stunning. With a sparse cast and amazing special effects and sound editing, you won't have a more intense experience in theatres in 2013. I anticipate major Oscar noms for this one.

The eerie cold alienation of space is captivating in this film starring Clooney and Bullock. Although, deemed as unrealistic by Chris Hadfield and the likes of NASA professionals, it is a film that holds your attention from start to credits. Though conceptually and scientifically unrealistic at parts, the viewer is pulled into the hopeless abandonment that Bullock is experiencing that ends up making most modern horror films seem silly in comparison.
