Jet Li is a awesome actor and compassionate person. If he stuns people with his greatness of his moves. He doesn`t have a ego but his moves are awesome so real and wild. I`m his, I will be seeing his movie tonight I haven`t his moveies at all. Usuall I go to Jean Van Damn but Jet Li is more awesome. If this movie is based on true event them he must be doing a awesome job.

a lot of people probably think that this movie is about peace...etc, but the problem is that in true history, the king is a tyrant. Why the story writers think this tyrant as someone that can bring peace is just mind boggling. In fact, a lot of bad things happen to the Chinese people under his tyranny after he unifies China, and his dynasty falls right after he dies, which brings China right back to civil wars and strife. Kill the tyrant probably won`t help because another will probably just come to be. But make him looks like a savior is just wrong.

Not bad.. it`s not a hugely mind-altering experience but it`s not a bad movie either. I liked this movie. :)

Great, great movie...fabulous use of colours, imageries, metaphors, & many twists & turns to get you thinking, instead of just watching one of these typical `Kung Fu` movies!! Those who fell asleep should wake up to appreciate the theme message of this movie brings to the world! Time after time, history repeats itself, NO matter what happens at the end of it, we ALL desire PEACE & HARMONY...so, think about it!!

after going over the comments, i realize that the people who didn`t like this movie basically commented on the same things - the plot, repeatitive scenes, and weird martial arts style. the plot was great, but you have to think and pay attention carefully to understand it. the repeatitive scenes was actually not repeatitive...you would realize this if you paid attention and understood the storyline. the martial arts style is totally different from the typical american style. it was extraordinary! I`ve seen a few other chinese movies from my asian friends so I know that these style are not weird, rediculous, or stupid. it is true martial a

Hero is an ecclectic interpretation of War and Peace. The story is as sharp as a double-edged sword! The choreography is stunning! The battle scenes are phenomenal! The visuals are breathtaking! The complexitity of Hero vs. Tyrant are poetically justified! There is no way to peace...peace is the way.

Overall, it had good pacing to it. The way colour was used was great to show interpretation through different characters eyes. The action scenes are better than the Matrix and you rarely see blood. A good part of it has romance for balance, so it spreads out the demographic base. I recommend viewing it.
