An incredible work of art, full of colours & symbolisms! A piece of Chinese history comes alive with a message from the past, that PEACE is better than WAR, and LOVE is better than HATRED !!

I really didn`t understand what was going on. I mean i see this girl die like 30 times in different scenes, this girl stabs this other guy like 30 times in different scenes. I guess it was good but the action wasnt that great and each fight sequence was too short. I give this movie 2 out of 5 stars :P

THIS WAS THE WORST MOVIE I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE! I MEAN IT WAS IN COMPLETE CHINESE ( WHICH THEY FAILED TO SAY IN THE ADVERTISMENT ) AND PPL COULD FLY AND USE A WATER DROP AS A WEAPON! FOR THOSE WHO ARE CONSIDERING WATCHING THIS MOVIE DON`T UNLESS YOU want 98 MINUTES OF YOUR LIFE WASTED!

If you are familiar with Zhang Yimou directing history, you will know that his movies are not the typical stories. This movie is not just a kung-fu movie as many may think, it is full of meaning and story. It is more like a drama, with kungfu on the side. The story itself is solid, and the martial arts spectacular. For anyone who does martial arts, especially wushu, the fights are a special treat. Some of the scenes use extensive wire techniques which are obvious, but there are times when the jump kicks and moves are done without wires which are familiar to many wushu atheletes, but obviously done at a much higher level. This leaves man

Quite possibly the worst movie I`ve ever see. Bad plot, script and acting.

I fell asleep twice and it was only a 98 minute movie. I`am sorry ,although the background shots were stunning, the fight scenes were terrible and the screenplay was as dry as grammas toast

I thought this movie was great, not just because of the action scenes, but the story line was Incredible. Sometimes it would be a bit hard to keep up with the subtitle but as long as you read a bit of them, you should do ok. Anyone who likes going to movies should see this one. This will deffintly win best foriegn film, and might even contend for Best movie at the acdameys.

I saw the original Chinese DVD version of this movie. I was really impress with the way they build the story, photograhpy and ballet style action sequence. Audience will surely appreciate the continuity and flow of well imbeded music that will dazzle every minutes of this films... A must see for fans of asian films
