  One of the best movies of the year for me. Brutal as all hell but extremely entertaining. It’s worth the ticket price alone and imagine not having the attention span of an adult and resort to calling this film boring huh.

  Audiences who watch this movie expecting a scary violent horror movie just because Stephen King wrote it may be disappointed. It's more of a dramatic character study with tons of dialogue. It could be performed on Broadway quite easily.

  Viet Nam, WWII, wasted lives in real life......the parallels or young men being thrown into the meat grinder for the "good" of the State are striking. But it isn't just about the individual vs. the State/collective; it's about the journey and the relationships formed between young men (see "Stand By Me" for details.....) from different situations. If you don't see the bigger picture with this flick.....you aren't paying attention.

  We really enjoyed this movie. It was emotionally hard to watch in places but the way you find out about each character as the walk continued was very well done. The book came out in the 70’s but could certainly serve as a warning to the U.S. today if they’re not careful.

  Just barely 3 stars. A hard watch, as suspected. I read the story 40 years ago, and other than the stand, my favorite stephen king ever. New it couldn't live up, but wasn't as bad as i thought it might be. I thought the screenplay could've been better. Stand out performance by garrety's friend. Not for the faint of heart

  I’m not usually one to watch movies and review them, but this one was truly exceptional. It effectively captures your heart and delves into the fascinating backgrounds of its characters. I’ve never encountered a movie that rivals this one in terms of its unique storytelling. It holds a special place in my heart as my favorite movie of all time, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have experienced it. I highly recommend it, giving it a solid 10/10 rating. 5 stars

  One of the worst Steven Kings movie. So boring, Just walk, walk, walk talk , talk a little , poop in the street, shot in the head. Nothing to this movie but a complete waste of time and money. Beware - it's horrible
