  If only it were as exciting as synopsis. Was well acted, the 3 stars are for Gosling, if it wasn't for his excellent performance I would of given it a 1. It lost all it's points on the ending. Well I say ending..... and will leave it at that.

  The acting was Excellent. But it was boring, Boring and BORING, in that order. If you want to see a movie for quiet dialogue, this movie is for you. 3/4 of the way through I was still waiting for it to get interesting! The Plot about Ryan Gosling was supposed to be Interesting, but it was the same old same old one that they thought up a few years ago. I almost fell asleep at the end! A bit of the dialogue was very offensive.

  Liked the acting. Disliked the foul language. Disliked the dryness of the movie and the idea which has been done over and over.

  Great movie I highly recommend it. The scene in which Steven (Ryan Gosling) learns just how dirty politics actually is was so incredible. Great performances from Giamatti and Hoffman.

  This would have been a solid 7...the ending was just bad..like they ran out of film. So, yet another Ryan Gosling downer.

  Outstanding movie, it kept me guessing throughout. Clooney gives a great performance as usual. Gosling really stands out in this movie, torn between right and wrong. Makes me wonder how close to the truth this movie is.
