  While it has a certain ham-fisted charm, at times, it certainly lacks the playful sense of fun of the original.

  This movie was suppose to be the Blockbuster this spring. The hype that was made about it will surely get a large grossing price, but don't go in with high expectations. The plot was dull, some parts were pointless beyond belief, random characters who hold no significance to the plot, and most of all, everything was rushed. They would spend a good 15 minutes on one scene that had no point to anything, and then spend 5 minutes on the climax of the film. It crushed what I thought would be a good movie. Wouldn't pay to see it again, especially not in 3D.

  Saw it last night with my wife and kids (age 10 & 13). When we were walking out, I asked everyone to rate the movie on a scale of 1 to 10 where ‘1’ was terrible and ‘10’ was excellent. Our 10 yr old daughter gave it a 8, our son gave it a 7, my wife gave it a 2 and I gave it a 1. I should have allowed negative rating in the scale because I would have given it a -5. I think that about sums it all up. Oh, other than that script was unbelievably bad (“I spit in the eye of the gods.”) Hey, I remember someone saying that in the original “Hercules” movie about 50 years ago with Steve Reeves. Don’t waste your time with this one. Not even worth the rental cost when it comes to video.

  I loved the first movie. This one brings back some of the same great characters. Visually it looks great, but I think the late addition of the 3D actually wasn't necessary and probably didn't add anything (potentially it took away from the look of the film). Still, a great movie - "release the Kraken!" Margaret

  Sequels for this franchise is coming, can't believe they are making another one without Perseus though
