The only scary thing about this movie is how boring it is. Rent the original.

I went in not really expected it to be too good.. But I went because I love anything about scary movies.. I actually thought it was a very good movie, and it was pretty scary too.. Im a huge fan of scary movies so I watch them alot, and it takes alot to scare me, and this movie actually scared me more then once... I would say definantly a movie to see.. :)

A movie that had so much opportunities to make it better than the original, but instead it offered nothing new and it's quite similar to Friday The 13th! Even the endings were exactly the same and predictable! All the scary scenes were not scary because of Freddy, but rather due to the jumped scare sounds made by film editors. I am not blaming the director Samuel for this one, but rather I believe it is Michael Bay's fault for ruining the franchise. I am sorry, I am just disappointed to see that there's not that much stuff that excited and scared me.

Doesn't even compare to the original. And for everyone who has said to watch the original again because he was a pedophile who got released cause of a legal loop hole, they would be mistaken. Freddy was a mass murderer of children in the original who was not convicted because of a legal technicality and that died at the hands of vigilante justice (the parents). He was not painted as a pedophile.

Personally Freddy was great, was different but in its own way just great. It's the damn Teen talentless actors that make the cheesy scenes personally. Everyone talks about it not being scary, but thats because we grew up watching scary movies... Nothing out there is gonna give me a bump in my night(Pardon the expression) but they still try and make it entertaining.

Let me first say I am huge fan of the original Nightmare. This is a different take on the story, and on Freddy. I went into it not expecting very much (it being a Mike Bay movie in all), but it was pretty god. I turned off my inner critic and just sat back and enjoyed it.

PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY! See 'Gunless' or 'Date Movie', but NOT this movie! It sucks. I did not jump out of my seat once. Everything was too predictable. Just a bunch of middle class kids that get killed in bloody ways and that's it. Sucks!
