  Be prepared to be ..... bored, very bored! 3 hours of only sporadic action: great special effects and a impressive Golum cannot save this tedious work. It`s just too long! I read the books several times in the 70`s and never found the written story to drag as much as this movie.

  the movie goes too long with nothing happening, its good but its not great. Definately overated!

  A superb effort on all fronts...P.J. outdid himself in the direction, the acting and wonderful special effects left me and my party breathless...to top it off most of the important parts of the book where incorprated...though it is fantasy this movie should not be overlooked at the Oscars for the epic film it is.

  Totally Blew me Away!!! Can`t wait for "The Three Kings," in the mean time, gonna watch "the two towers" over and over again.
