  More for Halloween than Christmas but it was entertaining and not spooky. I don't do horror so this was just right. Thriller is the best description. Reminded me of "Wait Until Dark" and "Fatal Attraction." Nicely done.

  Doesn't get the job done. The Housemaid is the sort of movie Jennifer Lawrence usually stars in. It's also a lousy choice for a Holiday movie.
