  Brilliant performance by Cumberbatch who will lose to Redmayne, but really deserving nonetheless. Knightly proves again she can't act, but even she isn't bad enough to spoil this touching story.

  I personally believe that this movie has made an enormous impact on me and is a must see. Benedict Cumberbatch's portrayal of Alan Turing is moving and flawless. He gives the audience the opportunity to see into the life of a man in pain, a man who is real, who saved millions of lives, but I never even heard of. In history class, I never learned about him, his name was not even mentioned. He is an inspiration to me and I believe that it is crucial to watch this movie and have today's people understand the pain, the heroism, and the love that was Alan Turing. I cannot believe that a man who could have saved so many lives was prosecuted on the basis of homosexuality. The reason that we learn h
