Letters to Juliet was a delightful movie that my mother and I thoroughly enjoyed. There was romance, humor, beautiful scenery, and a moving story of love lost and found again. The casting was superb. I thoroughly enjoyed Vanessa Redgrave 's acting. She portrayed femininity, age, beauty, vulnerability and wisdom in a perfect balance. Amanda Seyfried, as Sophie, portrayed Clare's counterpart with youthful vibrance and maturity. Her captivating eyes which smiled and danced through the whole film captured the essence of grace as she held back the tears of being in the presence of a man she loved deeply but thought she could not have. It is rare for a movie to treat romance and lov

Letters to Juliet is one of those warm romantic films that only come once in a long while. Amanda Seyfried is adorable as the heroine Sophie who believes in love everlasting and is compelled to answer an old letter to a woman who missed reuniting with her one true love decades ago. Sophie's quest to help the woman, played with poingnancy, charm and grace by Vanessa Redgrave, becomes her own journey at discovering love as both women learn about second chances in this beautiful film. Vanessa Redgrave steals the film a time or three with her captivating performance, while Amanda's bouyant charm permeates the movie's appeal. The breathtaking backgrounds as they travel through Italy only enhances

An unsurprising romantic comedy that gets by on the charms of the Tuscan countryside and its female leads.

This was a surprisingly enjoyable movie. Although the ending was easy to predict, the characters were likable and easy to root for. Laughs came easily (as did a few tears) and it was nice to just sit back and enjoy the ride. A great movie to watch with a girlfriend, or a partner who is brave and willing. Beautiful story that I'm sure we would all like to experience.

The movie was a typical chick flick-quite predictable. However, I did enjoy it- especially the beautiful Italian scenery. The acting was good too.
