This movie rocked hard, an awesome puzzle type scenario like seven. It was done well, and the opening scene I felt was disturbing. 5 out of 5, but dam, why the actor from Princess Bride. I was waiting for him to say...."Well, this isn`t as bad as the trecherous fire swamp!"

Absolutely terrible movie. The dialogue is vacuous, the acting is shockingly bad and the `horror` factor gets lost in a convoluted, hilariously predictable, non-sensical story line filled with bad flashbacks and even more terrible acting. Easily one of the worst films I have ever seen. Save your money.

SAW is most definitely one of the *best* movies I`ve ever seen. I was trying to avoid seeing it as I thought it would be low-budget and have no story, but fortunately my friends dragged me out. I was pouting through most of the opening scene, but before I knew it my entire body tensed up and I was totally engrossed until the credits rolled. I used to love serial killer movies but they always spent too much time on the investigation junk. This one had just enough, and it kept my brain busy during the movie, when I went to bed that night, and the following morning. I loved it! Great thriller! Almost as scary as Bridget Jones diary. Leave the wife at home and see it with the guys, wife won`t let you hear the end of it.

Where to begin... a train wreck of a movie highlighted by horrible (and sometimes very laughable) acting and plot holes-a-plenty. Carey Elwes should`ve stayed with his "men in tights" where he belongs. The fact that they set it up to make a sequel is the only frightening thing about this movie. It was a really good concept for a film, however it just fell to pieces somewhere between casting, filming, and editing. My vote: F+ for frustrating but funny.

Over rated - if you really want to see it, wait for it to rent it. Nothing would be lost going from big screen to TV.

this movie was really good.. the ending was amazing in my opinion and it`s one of those movies that made you think...it`s also really funny (eventhough it`s not supposed to be)...the acting was horrible though, they should of got better actors.
