  Having taught Film Classics during a period of twenty years, I can attest to the complexities of creating a full-length movie. Just as computer-generated graphics have revolutionized the visual components of watching a film, ADF, SFX, and other sound-producing & sound mixing techniques have transformed how we LISTEN to any film today. "Making Waves. . ." is not just for movie buffs but rather for anyone with enough curiosity to wonder how Hollywood started with silent-era films to today's films that are a "feast" for those who can hear.
