A disappointing movie. Cast is good mind you, but story and special effects were horrid. Rent a DVD An American Werewolf in London it special effects of 1981 are must better and will save you money.

2 & 1/2 stars. Wait for the rental. Also keep in mind it's a remake of a classic and stays true to the original so koodos for that.

Overall this remake of Wolfman was decent but nothing that stands alone in this day and age. The acting was poor on both Del Toro and Hopkins parts. Without good acting and a strong story its hard to become connected to the movie leaving it lifeless. Wolfman does paint some beutifully gloomy scenes acompanied by a slick musical score. I would recomend this as a rental or if you want to waste a little cash see it in theatres. 3/5 stars

No chain-saws, no hockey masks, just a good old-fashioned horror movie! Solid performances and beautifully atomospheric photography and soundtrack combine with make-up master Rick Baker's remarkable prosthetics to make this WOLFMAN an absolute treat for fans of the Universal monster classic!

Acting was poor at best. Does no justice to the original. Tho the werewolf transformation scenes were very well done. The plot left much to be desired. If you are in for the gore then watch it, if you can wait till the dvd relese or a good screener on the net i would hold off. Hopkins was a poor choice for the villian in the movie and the plot had no suspense. Over all i give this 2 howls outta Five.

Worst movie I have seen in months...poor plot and dialogue...can best be summed up by the following conversation overheard as the credits rolled... "Didn't you say this was a comedy?"...to which the response was, "No, but it was laughable".

Wolfman had a good story line, just found it to be too predictable so was not scared at all and i generally do not watch horror movies.
