My husband and I found this movie to be quite interesting. We had no idea what the movie was about when we went to it. We did find that the subtitles were hard to read in a lot of cases.

I enjoyed this movie because it was not the usual "hollywood" type movie. Good Acting, good storyline but at the sametime stuck to facts. It was sure nice to see something different and entertaining at the same time. Well Done!

Maxmanus is a strong, compelling drama that explores the challenges and conflicts that faced the Jewish resistance in WW2. An excellent thought-provoking drama!

An excellent portrayal of a true story norwegian war hero. Big action scenes don't out weight his personal story.

During World War II, the German juggernaut reached into Norway and the King was forced into exile in England. A small band of underground forces, lead by Max Manus (Askel Hennie), became a consistent and annoying presence. The film extends through the early years of the war to the final liberation when Germany collapsed after Hitler's suicide in 1945. Max Manus was a man who developed a fearless determination to disrupt the Nazi forces while maintaining a fierce loyalty for his men. Much of the story centers on his good friend and fighting partner, Gregers (Nicolai Cleves Broch) which typified the bond these underground fighters created in fighting for their country and each other. Didn't know the movie was subtitled. A few people left the theater after a few minutes. The fighting scene were very realistic and the tension of the sabatoge scenes was intense. Overall, the plot and storyline was very well done. The characters and there development were potrayed very well.
