  took my 7 year old son to see this, and we were both very disappointed - the movie does not capture the spirit of the books at all. depressing storyline based almost entirely on the bullying of the main characters, but who are not likable nor worthy of sympathy. If you wish your kids to continue to enjoy the books, then avoid this movie.

  I came in expecting a lot more... It was okay, it had some funny episodes, Happy I went to the 10:20am show at AMC and got it for 12.00 for 2. The cartooning was great!

  other than avatar and how to train your dragon this movie was movie of the year and i hope iron man 2 does better than 9 because well it wasn`t bad it just didn`t interest me and i think it could have been way better because the plot to that movie was weak

  i really really really want to watch this movie i heard it was amazing my friends keep telling me about this movie and i read all the books and the first one is a close 2nd favourite for me and any way i want to watch this movie and i`d give it 4 or 5 stars if i saw it because it should look really good and i hope jeff kinney makes the story line correctly

  it was amazing just like the book it is a hilarious film about middle school.my fave line is 'middle school is the the dumbest idea ever you've got kids like me who haven't hit there growth spurt and gorillas that have to shave twice a day.'fur
