  Emma Thompson gave a tour de force performance that should cinch an Oscar nomination. The movie was beautifully filmed, masterfully paced, and her character both forthright and multi-layered. If you didn't know that the "Purple Lady" was Judy Greer, you'd never have recognized her. She and the rest of the cast likewise delivered outstanding performances, creating a movie that will go down as an all-time great.
