  I have no idea what all the hype is about. Boring movie! Some visuals were so extreme I winched. Not my kind of movie at all. I waited for the movie to gain a momentum but it never did. So for all the hype by movie critics and movie goers alike, this movie was very disappointing. Not worth seeing.

  Fantastic film combining true fairy tale elements with dramatically captivating fiction. Very interesting and nicely made, from a technical pov.

  A lot of people in the audience were wincing and sounding off at some of the graphic violence which was so vividly presented... otherwise a wonderfully uniQue, bizarro, and traumatic child`s fantasy enactment as the resistance vs facists in Italy. Truly mesmerizing on many levels! All that gore... dunno if I`d see it again or bother getting the dvd later even if it is an amazing story.

  INCREDIBLE.... BEST MOVIE OF THE YEAR ....... if you are not going because it is sub-titles you are making a BIG mistake. The sub-titles are clear and big and move at normal speed so you can read all of it and watch the movie at the same time. I LOVED this movie. What a great story.

  such intensity, such a beautiful film. It will leave you with questions, with feelings that you will not be able to shake.
