Left the theater speechless, and thinking wow, wow and wow. I can`t wait for it to be on dvd so I can buy it. Never had a problems with the subtitles, was able to keep up. A must see movie if you don`t mind reading subtitles.

My wife wanted to see it but was unaware of the subtitles we do not want to read a movie especially at prices charged at theatres these days. YOUR ADVERTISING SHOULD LET PEOPLE KNOW THAT IT IS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE FLIM WITH SUB TITLES. BECAUSE SHOWING AN AD IN ENGLISH WITHOUT PLAYING ANY DIALOGUE AND SHOWING THE SUBTITLES IS ALMOST FALSE ADVERTISING.

It CERTAINLY wasn`t what I was expecting. WHO gave it a 14A rating? Tsk Tsk on them! At 40 years of age I had to turn my head to avoid seeing some of the gory violence. I shudder to think if we had taken an adolescent with us. Now that I know what it is about ............. I can see me renting it and enjoying it more fully ................ but I am definately telling everyone I know about the subtitles that the Cinema neglected to tell us about. Needless to say my husband was a tad irritated at having to "work" at watching a movie *chuckles*.

I was not sure what to expect from it. The side story of the war sometimes does not make sense but it fits afterwards once the story of the princess unfolds. It is an odd gothic tale but beautifully crafted, and a wonderful use of your imagination. Highyly recommend it. Enjoy!

GREAT FILM finally! BRAVO to foreign movies, enough of the Hollywood craps! Like reading a story book, twist & turns unfolding right in of yr eyes. It`s dark and beautiful at the same time. However not suitable for young children.
