  George Clooney showed a different side of himself in this movie. It was a great story. Funny in parts. Git wrenching in others. Loved it!

  Enjoyable film. It does a good job balancing the family dynamic with serious subject matter, and dark humour at times. Good job from Alexander Payne and the principal cast members. Attended the screening this past Wednesday evening in Vancouver - full house - crowd response was positive.

  I had a lot of high expectations for this movie because of all the film festival hype but was disappointed. Shailene Woodly definitely has a break out role but an Oscar for George or Alexander (director)? I don't think so.

  Could be Clooney's best performance to date. He plays the role of a hero with sincerity and integrity. Outstanding acting by all. A serious drama, punctuated with comedic moments. Overall, an uplifting movie.
