This movie started put very slow but after the first 20 minutes, Tom Cruise shows up and the vibe completely changes. Russell Brand and Alec Baldwin are hilarious. It's a very sexy movie and once you get passed the beginning it's really good.

Tom Cruise & entire cast were amazing! Brought back memories of clubbing in L.A. in the 80's :) High Praise!

This is a great flick. I have been around long enough to remember the music. Excessive living and drugs burned a lot of the would be perrenial stars. Tom Cruise is surprisingly good but the movie suffers in terms of lack of depth. I would have liked to see more. It leaves the movie light and a kind of retro celebration with a caution outcome. Still jokes were good and actors for rhe nost part earned their pay.

The cast of the recent rivavel of Hair were going on and on about how Hair was the voice of its generation.Well, fuck no.Hair was the show that people in suits went to see on Broadway. Anyone with long, beautiful hair thought the show was putrid drivel. This is the 2010s version of that. You can't synthesize that period with a film starring Tom Cruise and Julianne Hough. Only Russell Brand has the basic drughead background in that cast and the fact that he didn't die with a needle in his arm disqualifies him, too.Again, Hollywood has to learn that what looks good on a Broadway stage from fifty feet away can look pretty lame on the big screen.

the film looks great, but the music sucks, which is a pretty big obstacle for a musical to overcome.
