    you just can't stop watching this gritty look at life in a homeless shelter. de niro is his usual brillant self in this movie. unexpectedly compelling. highly recommend.

    This movie is good entertainment and a good look , if nothing else into the real lives of homeless people.Acting a bit over the top but ok. Conflict story between some great characters. In movies we dont have to like everyone.

    Talk about completely cainghng a title. Who knows? The publishing company may have changed the author's title to ANISC. In that case, publishers/editors also need to leave the artist's title alone. Being Flynn makes it sound like we're going to be looking at the world through the eyes of Nick, with him being the focal point of everything else. From the trailer, it appears to be a story about an event: what happened when a boy and his estranged father, who are both writers and writing memoirs, meet by chance at the homeless shelter where the boy works.Speaking of De Niro, one can come up with numerous workable titles for The Deerhunter but The Deerhunter worked out.     I didn't know that hunky young man in the film was the aarwwkd little kid from About a Boy. My jaw hit the floor when my friend Eve told me. Crazy!
