We took our 15 and 17 year olds to see Hugo and we all enjoyed it! The cinematography was beautiful and I didn't find the 3D effects to be distracting which is a nice plus!

Hugo is a beautiful movie. It's the first 3d movie that I have seen where 3d is not just a gimmick, but makes the world of the film more immersive. I loved the story of the orphan Hugo living in the train station and working hard to get his father's automaton working. I loved how the story is somewhat inspired by real people! Great movie!

Kids will love it. And adults for the insights that come out in the movie.

Interesting insights interspersed with a history of movie-making in story and human/computerized version for the effects.

Good evening, or morning or afternoon, meh bad start, anyway HUGO is an impressive film by all of my standards, it was completely fantastical, I initially went to the pictures hoping for something a little reminiscent of Lyra and the college, I was in fact rewarded by something far far better, happyness. There have been very very few films that I have ever seen that have actually made me happy, transported me to another world so to speak, watch this, 11/10 WATCH IT! :D

Good movie to take the kids to. Some reason had expected more special effects. Dragged in some spots but overall a 3.5 rating.
