Good movie, but the first 2/3rds didn't feel like a Star Wars movie.

It's the worst movie I have Ever seen , I walked out early . Seeing the box office figures $155 mill ?.i think this is the epitome of the American intellect .

I am a fan of all the Star Wars movies. This was good, but not great. Very overly hyped.. fairly slow with great action scenes. Forrest Whitaker was lame at best, for the whole 5 secs he was in the movie. Worth a watch, but for no real valid reasons unless you're a fan.

As a fan of all of the films, (yep, prequels included) I enjoyed this movie. Found it to be well done. Some key information made an important part of A New Hope more plausible for me. Will be seeing this a few more times! Now hurry up Episode VIII

I went to the theater excited to watch Rogue One, and... meh. Plenty of action, some of the secondary characters (especially the robot and the two Asian fighters) were interesting, amazing special effects, but there were some things I didn't like. In particular, I felt that the two lead characters just were not that sympathetic or exciting - I didn't really have any empathy for them. After reading all the glowing comments from various reviews, I felt a wee bit let down. If I were to choose between watching 'Rogue One' or 'The Force Awakens', I'd rather watch 'Force Awakens' because despite its many flaws, I find its two lead characters a lot more interesting. They have some banter and camaraderie that simply doesn't exist in 'Rogue One'. I found it 'Rogue One' was entertaining, and was certainly better than the three Lucas prequels, so I'd give it maybe a 3.5 out of 5 stars if I'm feeling generous.

Not up to the standards of last year's Star Wars. Just a lot of battles. Not much plot. I was bored.

anyone that gave this a one had no appreciation of the original trilogy or never even saw the movie. An excellent movie that ties in perfectly with original trilogy. Best one since Empire strikes back.

I really wanted to like this one, but I couldn't get past the CGI Tarkin. As bad-acting and bad scripts have seemingly become an accepted flaw of Star Wars movies, the good acting moments such as Peter Cushing's Grand Moff Tarkin from Episode IV are treasured rarities to the Star Wars fan. Perhaps director, Gareth Edwards thought it would be clever to bring a CGI Tarkin into the movie. However I can think of a dozen real-life actors that could have pulled it off with fitting tribute to the late Peter Cushing, Charles Dance, Ralph Fiennes , Micheal Fassbender, heck, even Jared Leto .. Why not?
