This was, indeed, a shocker when it was released in 1980. To me, this started the "slasher" series--not "Halloween." We all are well-versed in the films by now, with one being just about as bad as the other. This is also the film that Drew Barrymore failed her quiz on in "Scream." Really tame by today's standards, but considered so shocking back then.

Rip-off of John Carpenter's HALLOWEEN isn't bad but awfully mechanical. The next four films in the series were better.

This was the most ridiculous horror movie i have ever seen. I wanted to see horror not porn. The movie was not scarey at all and appartently had no talent in writing because all they did was use sex to waste 2 hours of my time. if i want to see this material i will access it on my computer. the biggest disappointment ever.
