  Wonderful modern-day fairytale adventure, the kids are great. Nice family movie (sort of, as long as you don’t mind the sometimes foul language and a few scenes that need some explanations what and why *not* to do), with the protagonists on the ultimate quest for an egg, plus some serious magic and witchcraft in it. My favorites are Hazel having dinner at the campfire (and getting into trouble for it) and the climatic dance scene at the Hall of Fortune (including a surprise cameo of Neptune). Enjoyed every bit of it!

  Great movie, loved it instantly. Three kids get on a quest for the ultimate blueberry pie, and you wouldn’t believe what they are willing to go through to get the perfect egg for it. While it starts as a kid‘s movie, it’s quickly gaining depth and a serious touch of mystery. Great performances by Hazel, Jodie (the only one getting the privilege of subtitles), Alice, and their new friend Petal, who is as magical as it can get in a fairytale. Though the 16mm film stock shows its grain sometimes, it’s definitely a nice and memorable movie to watch!
