As far as the Harry Potter movies go, this one wasn't bad. It was definitely the best so far. As a huge fan of the novels, I find that teh movies leave out oo much of the good background information and focus on the flashy stuff. Still thought that the movie short changed th enovel, but it was definitley much better than the other have been. Still worth seeing, just don't have huge expectations.

Wonderful movie, great ending; loved how Voldemort goes to Dumbledore's grave at the end. Leaves you wanting to see more. Can't wait for the 2nd part.

I'm glad they got smart and split the book into two parts for the movie. The last couple have been cut up too badly for most fans. This one's great. A bit dark for young ones though.

The tone of the book is maintained in this second to last film of the series. Rupert Grint in particular rises above his previous performances of teen angst and mumbling to convey Ron's emmotional response to the trio's dire circumstances. All three actors are terrific together and make the tension palpable to the audience. The action is fantastic thanks to Rowling's original work and I finally came to appreciate Yates' finesse for subtlety. I don't know who decided the point at which the first movie ends and part two begins, but whoever did, the choice is bang on.

I didn't like how it ended on such a depressing note. I was really sad.
