Wonderful film. Should be required viewing for high school students. The use of the "N" word is disturbing of course, but it reflected the time and spectacular challenge of Robinson...a definite hero and brave individual (not to mention his wife). My only disappointment with this film was Ford's performance. The constant strained expression on his face made him look like he had gas the whole time.

This is the most inspiring movie I have seen and everyone I was with, age 11 to 50 LOVED it! We laughed, we cried, we were angered, we were in awe of the power of the human spirit. The trailier and description does not do this film justice. A definate Oscar nomination but should win.

Outstanding! One of those movies where you never look at your watch. Chadwick Boseman was superb as was Harrison Ford. Undoubtedly, one of my all time favorite movies!!

The film captures the struggles of Jackie Robinson and all he endured in breaking the color barrier in MLB. Great baseball action scenes and fine acting by Mr. Boseman, Mr. Ford and supporting cast!

An excellent movie. My wife and I both enjoyed it very much, and neither one of us are ball fans in particular. Chadwick Boseman was very dignified in the role of Jackie Robinson, the actress Nicole Beharie, as Robinson's wife, Rae, was almost distractingly beautiful, and Harrison Ford was all but unrecognizable as Branch Rickey. Stellar performances across the board. My only minor complaint was the role of Max Gail as the interim manager of the Dodgers. The role was essentially unnecessary to the movie, yet the scene where the character is introduced makes it seem as if he was somehow going to be the key to Robinson's acceptance in the big leagues. In reality it would appear the abuse he en
