Going Clear deconstructs the church of Scientology’s claims and looks at its history. The film interviews eight former Scientologists and looks into the role of celebrity members such as Tom Cruise and John Travolta.

Former scientologists explain how they became a part of the church. The film also delves into the history of the church, as well as allegations of abuse, misconduct, imprisoning and exploitation.

Based on the book by Lawrence Wright.
