A docudrama following a man living with severe Tourette syndrome, I Swear traces the life of John Davidson (Robert Aramayo) as he tries to manage uncontrollable vocal and physical tics. His condition often leads to misunderstandings in public, and a specific incident in a crowded public space is filmed and shared online, quickly turning him into the focus of viral attention.
As the video spreads, strangers begin mocking and harassing him online and in person, and John becomes increasingly isolated. He attempts to continue his daily routine, including therapy sessions, medical consultations, and efforts to gain independence, but each step is complicated by the way people react to him in public spaces.
