Sesame Street's Elmo the Muppet is an international icon, loved by children of all ages around the world. Not many people know the puppeteer behind Elmo, Kevin Clash, whose dream came true when he was given a full time job in 1984 working with his idol, Jim Henson.
The documentary, which is narrated by Whoopi Goldberg, includes rare archival footage as well as interviews with fellow muppeteer Frank Oz, Rosie O'Donnell, Cheryl Henson, Children's Television Workshop co-founder Joan Ganz Cooney and others. It also has a behind-the-scenes look at Sesame Street and the Jim Henson Workshop.
