Sweetness Synopsis
Her mom is dead (bummer!), her dad is a cop (gross!), and her dad’s girlfriend won’t stop trying to bond with her (ugh!), but tonight, none of that matters — 16-year-old Rylee is off to see her all-time favourite band, Floorplan. Heading home in the post-show glow of an incredible concert, a chance encounter has starstruck Rylee accepting a ride from Floorplan frontman (and total dreamboat!) Payton Adler. It quickly becomes apparent that her rockstar crush is a dysfunctional drug addict, and after his impaired driving results in a crashed car, Rylee decides to take him home, determined to get him clean. She may be shy, unpopular, and inexperienced, but there’s one thing Rylee’s confident in — Payton needs her, whether he likes it or not. But even with the best of intentions, her plan to help him turn his life around soon takes a dark and sinister turn as Rylee becomes hell-bent on turning her teenage fantasies into reality.
